GP Home Furniture
Overview
GP Home Furniture, a chic furniture store in Chilliwack, British Columbia, underwent a comprehensive re-design led by me. Covering various platforms from in-store signage to social media and web assets, I re-imagined all marketing, design, photography and brand messaging initiatives. The challenge arose from the recent name change from "Grandpappys" to "GP," requiring a modernised brand image to resonate with the target audience, primarily aged 35+.
Challenges:
The primary challenge was maintaining a consistent brand image amidst the name change. With a predominantly older clientele, GP Home Furniture needed to attract a younger demographic while retaining its existing customers. The transition from "Grandpappys" to "GP" posed difficulties in preserving brand recognition and customer loyalty. Additionally, aligning the brand's visual identity with contemporary design trends proved to be a challenge.
Solution
To address these challenges, I focused on selecting fonts and colours that appealed to the younger demographic, particularly those interested in mid-century modern furniture. While retaining the logo mark, I modernised the overall aesthetic with a shift from serif to sans-serif fonts. Strategic marketing efforts were employed, including radio, TV, and billboard advertisements, alongside social media campaigns and website management. This ensured a cohesive brand image across all touchpoints and platforms.
